What did Langevin post?
"There's not a single Indian that cares about the United States. They are here to exploit us financially and enrich India and Indian. America for Americans": this was the post that enraged the Indian-American community at a time when the Indian community is getting attacked because of the H-1B reforms.
Not Indian-Americans, but visa holders, Langevin clarifies
As his post created a social media storm, Langevin clarified that his post was not about Indian-Americans but visa holders. “There are certainly Americans that have Indian heritage, but they are still Americans,” he wrote. “That said, they are a small percentage of all Indians and Americans of Indian descent in the country. There is significant issue with illegal Indians, H1-b abuse, and even naturalized Indians that believe America is an economic zone to enrich Indians.”
There was a lot of talk last night about “our community”.

My observation however was that the vast majority of people in attendance were not Palm Bay residents. Some came from outside of Brevard County.
On the flip side every conservative that spoke out for America lived in…
He also said that those who have their loyalty to America won't attack him. "So are you an Indian or are you an American? You can’t serve two masters," he said.
There are certainly Americans that have Indian heritage but they are still Americans.

"I stand by comments in regard to all forms of illegal immigration, and I believe that there are significant flaws in our immigration system that are working against Americans. The H1-b visa is one of these and made up of predominantly Indian immigrants."
As the Palm Bay council meeting dominated headlines, Langevin said a vast majority of people who attended the meeting were outsiders and Palm Bay residents spoke out for America.
