On Easter Sunday, Meghan Markle took to Instagram to post an unexpected yet charming moment from her Montecito home in California. A short video showed a duck followed by several ducklings crossing a path near her mansion.
The post was captioned, “Wishing you a Happy Easter full of love…and surprises!” The Duchess of Sussex, barefoot and dressed in a simple white dress, looked visibly delighted, covering her mouth with her hand and shaking her arms as the birds passed.
Meghan curated a special 'Easter edit' on her ShopMy Instagram page earlier, reported Daily Express. The curated collection featured seasonal items like children’s clothes, toys, and sweet treats, tailored for springtime celebrations.
Meanwhile, in the UK, King Charles III and Queen Camilla were seen attending the annual Easter Matins Service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, along with other royal family members. Notably absent were Prince William and Kate Middleton, who chose to skip the event this year.
Prince Harry and Meghan have never attended the Royal Family’s Easter outings. People magazine notes that although Meghan was present for other traditional royal events during her time in the UK, Easter was not one of them.
According Daily Express, Prince Harry’s memoir Spare mentions a past "misunderstanding" between the Sussexes and the Waleses over Easter plans.
