NEW DELHI: Several students were hospitalized following an alleged gas leak at a private school in Thiruvottiyur , Chennai. After the alleged gas leak, several students on the third floor fainted. It is reported that all the students are safe.
NDRF personnel have reached the spot and said that the exact cause is yet to be ascertained as they did not smell the gas.
Earlier on October 14, 100 students of a Corporation Middle School in Tamil Nadu's Hosur district became critical allegedly due to suspected gas leak from septic tank on the premises.
Many of the students were admitted in the nearby Hosur government hospital and underwent treatment.
