JAMMU: A government school teacher was arrested in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district for allegedly sexually abusing a class 12 student and threatening to fail her in internal exams if she did not give in.
The accused also sent messages to the minor girl seeking sexual favours to facilitate her admission in the medical stream of a Punjab college. The teacher claimed to have done so for many other girls, police said.
The girl’s family filed a complaint at Bhaderwah police station on April 16 following which an FIR was lodged under various sections of BNS and Pocso Act. Further investigation in the case in on, police said.
