SRINAGAR: The off-shoot of the Jaish-e-Mohammad terror outfit namely “Kashmir Tigers “killed two Village Defence Guards (VDG) members, Nazir Ahmed and Kuldeep Kumar both residents of Ohli Kuntwara in Kishtwar on Thursday morning, while encounter triggered in Sopore in Baramulla district in north Kashmir following the search operation by the security forces in the evening today.
According to the press statement of the terror outfit “ Kashmir Tigers ”, “two active soldiers of VDG Kuldeep Kumar and Nazir Ahmad came chasing Mujahideen Islam in the dense forests of Kishtwar area of Occupied Kashmir this morning. The mujahideen of the Kashmir Tigers ignored them but they did not give up the chase and came close, whereupon the mujahideen caught them with iron hands.”
“After confessing to all the crimes, both were executed. we are fighting against the occupying Indian Army, but it is seen that some ignorant people are joining the VDG and becoming a tool of the Army and chasing the Mujahideen. There are such people, take a lesson from today's situation and in any case from VDG don't be a part otherwise, you will have to suffer the same fate,” says KT statement.
While some gunshots were heard during Cordon and search operation in Sagipora area of North Kashmir's Sopore on Thursday evening. A top police officer said that on specific inputs a cordon and search operation was launched in Sagipora by a joint team of Police and army this evening.
During searches, some gunshots were heard subsequently the security cordon was tightened around the area, he said. According to police sources, two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in a house while the exchange continues till the filing of this report.
