BJP ending SCs-OBCs reservation by finishing permanent jobs, government education: Hooda

MULLANA/LADWA: Haryana ex-chief minister and leader of opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that BJP is suffering from anti-constitution and anti-reservation mindset and ate away reservations of SCs and OBCs by becoming a contractor, ending permanent jobs and government education.

Hooda was campaigning for Pooja Chaudhary in Ambala’s Mullana constituency, Mewa Singh in Kurukshetra’s Ladwa and Ram Karan Kala in Shahabad Markanda on Wednesday, where he addressed the public gatherings to seek votes for his party candidates. Hooda kept a common line of his addresses at all the public gatherings and targeted BJP while highlighting the promises made by Congress in its manifesto.

Speaking in Mullana, Hooda targeted BJP for its alleged efforts to end reservation and reduce access to education. “BJP has looted the reservation of Dalits and backward classes by ending jobs and implementing Kaushal Nigam” Hooda said.

In Ladwa, Hooda said, “Due to fear of defeat, the BJP Chief Minister (Nayab Saini) had to leave his home constituency Naraingarh and now his constituency Karnal and shifted to Ladwa. But his defeat in Ladwa is certain. Because Nayab Saini, while being an MP, never got any development work done in Ladwa nor did he go to any village to inquire about people’s well-being.”

In Shahabad, Hooda said, “We will abolish all the portal systems in which the BJP government has entangled the people of the state. Today, the grain markets are full with paddy, but the government has not started the procurement. First, they talked of starting procurement from 23rd (September), then on October 1. We used to start the procurement by September 15. In such a situation, the farmers are harassed and forced to sell their produce below MSP.”

“By closing 5,000 government schools and handing over the government education system to private hands, BJP has given the biggest blow to the reservation of the deprived classes. But now the time has come to curb this anti-constitutional policy of BJP”, Hooda said.

Hooda said that this fight to save the Constitution and reservation is not only political, but also personal as the Constitution made by Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, that gave reservation to Dalits and backward classes, also has the signature of his father, Ranbir Singh Hooda.

“My father worked as a member in the Constituent Assembly under the leadership of Baba Saheb. Therefore, we will not let the anti-constitution and anti-reservation plans of BJP succeed under any circumstances,” Hooda said.

Hooda sought votes for his party candidates from people, while targeting BJP.

“The Congress government had ended contractual jobs, but the BJP government itself became a contractor. Youths are being exploited by recruiting them in Kaushal Rojgar Nigam without reservation, without merit, without pension and on meagre salaries. Under the guise of Kaushal Rojgar Nigam, BJP has found an excuse to eat away the reservation of SC, ST and OBC,” Hooda alleged.

“This corporation has become a den of corruption, where jobs are sold like items in a grocery shop. When the Congress government is formed, the employees of Kaushal Nigam will be regularized, and they will be given proper salary. We will fill vacant 2 lakh government posts. In future, the system of merit and reservation will be fully implemented in every government recruitment,” Hooda promised.
