The Philadelphia Phillies are gearing up to play their first game in a series against the undefeated Los Angeles Dodgers . While the fans will be glued to their mobile phones and TV screens, it is expected to be a tough challenge. However, star player Bryce Harper claimed the Philadelphia Phillies aren’t complaining about facing the Dodgers.

Bryce Harper says Phillies are determined to win
The Philadelphia Phillies’ Bryce Harper said that the team is feeling as confident as they can, after they’ve won their last three games at home. The team is determined enough to continue that winning streak going—even against a strong team like the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Right before the game between the Phillies and the Dodgers, who continue to be undefeated, Bryce Harper, while speaking to the media, stirred yet another controversy. Harper said that he believes only losers complain about what they are doing, where he refers to the criticism that usually surrounds the Dodgers, regarding their heavy spending on acquiring and developing talents over the years. Harper said:

“I feel like only losers complain about what they’re doing.”

Bryce Harper says Dodgers is a great teamFurther, Bryce Harper added that he believes the Dodgers are a pretty good organisation. Harper said:

“I think they’re a great team, they’re a great organization—that’s why guys want to go there and play.”

Further, Harper added:

“L.A. is a great city to play in, obviously. They’re at the mecca of the world —everything from food to nightlife to sports, from the Dodgers to the Lakers to anybody.”

It is true that Harper’s statement comes from a place of respect and clarity, right in the middle of a heated baseball season. Where he does acknowledge that Dodgers are indeed undefeated.

The Philadelphia Phillies have maintained their good score with a solid home opener in 2025. They left the Colorado Rockies 3-0 and allowed just one run in each game. The team’s definitely has exceptional pitching and offense skills.

Back in February , the Phillies manager Rob Thomson, regarding the Dodgers’ offseason said:

"We've got a really good rotation. We've got a really good lineup. We've got a really good bullpen, So we'll match up fine."

However, the situation moved further away, with Dodgers Nation taking to X, and stating:

“Agree with Bryce Harper’s take that only losers have an issue with what the Dodgers have done the past couple of seasons? He dropped this gem ahead of the Phillies vs LA series.”
