Despite having a resume reflecting his incredible skill set for the sport, the former Colorado quarterback was a fifth-round pick for the Cleveland Browns , the 144th pick precisely. Not only does the rising athlete cite himself as following in the footsteps of Tom Brady, but his impressive skills on the field also had “jaws dropped” while he continued to dominate Dillon Gabriel’s game in Berea. Despite many sources revealing the stunning performance of the newbie quarterback, some raised questions about the hype building around the new player as one of the best Cleveland has, with comparisons to Baker Mayfield’s caliber.

Shedeur Sanders' rookie minicamp presence draws mixed reactions from fans

It would not be right to say that Sanders isn’t worth the hype he has around himself, since the player has been at the top of his game for years during his college years. The recent rookie minicamp game of the 23-year-old gained enough attention for the fans to raise questions about the skill set they don’t get to see very often, but hear a lot about. Not only did one minicamp rookie source claim that the game of Dillion Gabriel “wasn’t even close” to Sanders, but his 81.5–yard throw video on X gained massive attention as fans predicted the throw to even surpass Mayfield’s record.

There’s a collective that believes in the confidence the young player portrays to stand out from the rest; there are also fans who have called out the Sanders’ hype. One fan stated, “The same draft hype will follow to camps…”

Another fan stated, “I just read the exact opposite. Lmao”

A few fans also clapped back at the young star for comparing himself to Tom Brady; for instance, a fan commented, “I don't remember Tom having millions before stepping into the NFL, cutting music, or taking his team to a strip club to celebrate before the big game. Maybe I didn't follow his career closely enough.”

The mixed reactions from the fans only build up more pressure for Sanders, as a lot might be expected out of his next on-field game for the people to believe the star’s rise in the big league.
