Tom Cruise continues his action-packed run at the Indian box office with Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which has crossed the Rs 75 crore mark after ten days in cinemas.

The film, touted as Cruise’s final outing in the iconic spy franchise, has seen a strong response from Indian audiences, particularly in its opening weekend. It raked in Rs 33.5 crore in its first two days and maintained momentum to close its first week at Rs 54.4 crore.

While collections dipped slightly on Day 7 with earnings of Rs 3.9 crore, the second weekend brought renewed energy. The film grossed approximately Rs 7 crore on its second Saturday, followed by Rs 7.25 crore on Sunday. However, the second Monday saw a slowdown, with collections dropping to around Rs 2.75 crore, bringing the film’s estimated total to Rs 75.3 crore.

Despite its impressive performance, The Final Reckoning is trailing behind its 2023 predecessor Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which amassed Rs 80.6 crore in its opening week and went on to earn Rs 110.3 crore over a 9-week run. The India gross for that instalment stood at an estimated Rs 131.25 crore.

At the international markets, the film scored an impressive franchise record earning $63 million at the US box office, out performing 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout'. With an estimated $127 million earning from international markets, and domestic markets seeing a rising trend over the summer break, the film's global total now stands at an estimated $204 million.

With audiences still trickling in, all eyes are on whether The Final Reckoning can sustain its momentum and close the gap with its predecessor’s record-breaking numbers.

According to reports, the film which had a huge production budget, will reportedly need to score $1 billion to score a win at the box office.
