A throwback photo of Anushka Sharma from her teenage years has caught fans' attention on Instagram. Sporting the fashion trends of the time, the actress couldn't help but poke fun at her ultra-thin eyebrows, laughing at her younger self with a dose of humour and nostalgia.
A throwback photo of 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' was shared by her friend Kanika Karvinkop on Instagram Stories. The picture, believed to be taken in Goa in 2004, shows a 16-year-old Anushka wearing a tank top and denim jeans with a flower-shaped stone on the mini pocket. She carried a red tote bag on her shoulder and had long, thin eyebrows, which were trendy back then.
Kanika playfully made fun of Anushka’s eyebrows by captioning the picture, “Lolll @anushkasharma look what I found. Our eyebrows tho hahaha. Goa, 2004?” Anushka agreed with her friend’s funny caption about their eyebrows and reposted it on her Instagram Stories, adding, “Hahaha,” along with a tongue-out emoji.
Anushka Sharma’s Early Career
In 2007, three years after the Goa photo, Anushka moved to Mumbai and started modeling for designer Wendell Rodricks. In 2008, she made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'. The movie was a big hit and the second-highest earner of the year after 'Ghajini'.
Anushka, who will complete 15 years in Hindi cinema next year, was last seen in 'Zero' (2018). Her next film, 'Chakda ‘Xpress', is a biopic about Jhulan Goswami, the former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team. Directed by Prosit Roy, the movie is still awaiting its release.
