Summer camps in Kanpur schools starting May 21

Kanpur: The district administration is set to organise summer camps at 113 private schools and 21 self-financed Madhyamic schools across the district. The summer camp will start on May 21 and will go on till June 10. During this period, special emphasis will be placed on the development of creative thinking, self-confidence, life skills, and the strengthening of basic academic skills in children.

Activities in the summer camps will focus on art and creativity, personality development as well as physical and mental health.

These activities will include painting, music, dance, blog writing, story writing, teamwork, leadership skills, self-motivation, yoga, exercise and mental health workshops. Summer camps will cover 21 subjects, with a dedicated team of experts assigned to each subject. These teams will oversee and cross-check the activities at all participating schools, ensuring quality and providing training to the children.

Stalls featuring products made by the children will be established for sale during the camps. In addition, stalls selling food prepared by the children under a special category will also be available. Public representatives will honour children at a special event during the summer camp.
