Man held in Naharlagun molestation case

Itanagar: A 35-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a molestation case, with authorities also recovering an unlicensed firearm and live ammunition from his home, police said.

"The arrest was made following a written complaint lodged by a 26-year-old woman on May 6, in which she alleged that the accused, Chello Kalar, assaulted and attempted to molest her upon her return from Guwahati to Naharlagun railway station," Naharlagun SP Mihin Gambo said. According to the complaint, the women had travelled to Guwahati along with the accused's wife. Upon their arrival at Naharlagun station, Kalar allegedly assaulted her without provocation and tried to molest her.
