Two minors steal three motorcycles; detained

Nashik: The Nashik city police detained two minors and recovered three motorcycles from them, worth Rs 60,000.

The police said, "Constables Nazimkhan Pathan and Amol Koshti received information on Monday that a person was arriving near the Dhruvnagar area of Satpur with a stolen moped without a number plate. After verifying the complaint, senior officials of the crime branch unit 1 sent a team to the Dhruvnagar area and detained the minor who had the stolen moped."

Upon enquiry, he confessed to the police that he stole the moped.

He also told the police that he stole two more motorcycles, which he kept at his friend's place, who is also a minor.

The police then seized the two motorcycles from the other minor.

The police further found out that the two-wheelers were stolen by the minors from the Satpur and Nashik Road areas of the city.

The minors were handed over to the Satpur police for further investigation in the theft cases. Every year, more than 700 vehicles get stolen from different parts of the city.
