Keonjhar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's principal secretary-2, Shaktikanta Das, accompanied by his wife, visited the renowned Maa Tarini temple at Ghatgaon in Keonjhar district on Saturday as part of his three-day Odisha tour.
The couple arrived at the temple at 11 am and were welcomed by local officials and district administration representatives. The temple authorities facilitated their darshan and worship of the deity.
During the visit, the temple administration presented Das with a ceremonial paddy-crafted idol of Maa Tarini. "My wife and I are devoted followers of Maa Tarini. This visit fulfills our long-standing desire to seek her blessings for our family and all," Das said after the darshan.
He expressed gratitude to the administration for ensuring a smooth and peaceful visit to the temple. District magistrate Vishal Singh and other senior officials were present during the visit.
