Prayagraj: On the occasion of World Heritage Day, the Indian Railways' Prayagraj Division organised a series of creative and awareness-driven events to honour and showcase the rich legacy of Railways.
Special selfie cut-out boards were installed at Prayagraj and Kanpur railway stations, allowing passengers and railway enthusiasts to take memorable photographs against a historical backdrop. Alongside these, heritage-themed banners were displayed at both stations, visually narrating the historical journey and legacy of Railways through vivid illustrations and archival imagery.
As part of the celebrations, heritage videos were screened at the Prayagraj station premises and the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) office. These videos featured rare visuals and chronicled the historical development of Indian Railways over the years, providing a deeper insight into its legacy. Additionally, key heritage items such as the vintage steam engine displayed at Prayagraj station and preserved heritage materials kept at the North Central Railway headquarters were cleaned and painted. tnn
