Real Madrid did what Real Madrid does best, that is to pull off a victory out of nowhere, when things are not in favour. This is what happened in Tuesday's UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund. Los Blancos overturned a 2-0 deficit to win the game 6-2 at the Santiago Bernanbeu. The hero for the defending UCL champions was Vinicus Jr, who pulled of a 31-minute hattrick to guide his team to victory. But the like every other comeback, it was easy as Madrid found themselves trailing by 2-0 in the 35 minute of the game. Donyell Malan scored the opener before Jamie Gynoe-Gittens doubled Dortmund's lead. It was not before the 60th minute, when Antonio Rudiger pulled one back for the home side. Before Dortmund could settle down, just 2 minutes after the goal, Vinicius Jr brought the game back to level terms as both the times looked set for a grandstand finish. Madrid took the lead for the first time in the match right at the 83rd minute, when Lucas Vazquez converted his chance. The last 7 minutes of the game belonged to Real as Vini Jr smashed in two brilliant goals to round off a comprehensive victory for the defending champions. Vinicius, who is also a big contender for the Ballon d'or along with his teammates Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde, made his case even stronger with a strong performance at the grandest stage of club football. Here's a look at his 31-minute hat-trick, which earned him the Man of the Match award:-

With the latest victory, Real Madrid have moved up to 9th position in the table, with 6 points from 3 matches so far. The Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place on 28th October and Vini can easily fancy his chances. It has been many years since a Brazilian managed to win one of football's top individual prize.
