A shooting in Lewisville Thursday left one person dead, with a suspect now in custody. Around 11:30 a.m., many 911 calls reporting shooting in the 1800 block of Lakeway Drive, adjacent to a business park and the Lewisville Police Station, were received by the police. Officers on foot swiftly arrived; they were already close by. They took the perpetrator into custody and treated the victim with first aid. After being transported to a nearby hospital, the victim succumbed to their injuries, as confirmed by law enforcement. Though the details of their relationship are yet unknown, the victim and suspect were both acquainted.Because the incident happened close to the police station, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) helped Lewisville police by checking parked cars and structures.
