Secret Service Urges Trump Campaign To Avoid Large Outdoor Rallies After Assassination Attempt: Report

The Secret Service has reportedly told Republican nominee Donald Trump's campaign to avoid outdoor rallies after the assassination attempt on him in Butler, Pennsylvania on June 13.The Washington Post reported Tuesday citing three people familiar with the matter that the Trump campaign has been asked to not hold outdoor rallies with large crowds, going forward. Per the report, the 78-year-old's campaign team is scouting indoor venues to hold Trump's election rallies. His first appearance on the campaign trail after the assassination attempt on June 13 was at a rally in Grand Rapids, Arkansas, which also was an indoor event. The former president was shot at by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from the rooftop of a building nearby. The shooter missed Trump by inches, hitting his ear, which resulted in him being photographed on stage with blood in his ear and face. Donald Trump's next two rallies are planned at Charlotte, North Carolina and at a hockey arena in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Trump has held at least a few dozens large outdoor rallies since launching the presidential bid, and hundreds since the 2016 campaign against Hilary Clinton.
