Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Wednesday, revealed her financial assets while filing her nomination papers for the bypoll in Wayanad, Kerala. According to her election affidavit, she has total assets amounting to Rs 12 crore, an income of Rs 46.39 lakh in the financial year 2023-2024, movable assets valued at Rs 4.24 crore - including deposits in three bank accounts, mutual fund investments, a Honda CRV car gifted by husband Robert Vadra, and 4,400 grams of gold worth Rs 1.15 crore.Priyanka also mentioned her immovable assets which are worth Rs 7.74 crore, including two inherited half-shares of agricultural land in New Delhi's Mehrauli area, a half-share in a farmhouse, and a residential property in Shimla valued at Rs 5.63 crore, the PTI reported.Her husband, Robert Vadra, holds movable assets worth over Rs 37.9 crore and immovable assets valued at Rs 27.64 crore.She also declared that she holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Buddhist Studies through distance learning from the University of Sunderland, UK, and a BA Hons degree in Psychology from Delhi University.She has liabilities amounting to Rs 15.75 lakh and is undergoing Income Tax reassessment proceedings for 2012-13, owing Rs 15 lakh in taxes. Her affidavit also mentions two FIRs and a forest department notice against her."Priyanka has always been someone who would sacrifice anything for her family and friends, and this quality will make her an exceptional MP for Wayanad. As her brother, I ask you to support and protect her as you have done for me," Rahul Gandhi posted on X, as Priyanka made her electoral debut in Wayanad Wednesday.This is Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's first election campaign, though she entered active politics before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
