Kangana Ranaut slams CBFCThe actor, in her reply called the CBFC a "redundant body". She held the view that even OTT platforms should come under the purview of the CBFC. "Technologically, the place we are at, censor board, to be honest, has become a redundant body. I raised the same thing during the previous parliament session as well," Kangana said. She even opined at how streaming channels like YouTube giving access to kids to numerous kind of content was "worrisome", the 38-year-old added, "The kind of things that are being shown on OTT… The kind of things kids have access to on YouTube, sometimes we are scared what a kid might stumble upon. Just by paying money, you can access any channel you want. This is quite worrisome. We struggle so much with the censor that ‘why did you show blood? why did you have that cut?’ So I think we need to rethink. The one who needs censorship the most is OTT platforms."Kangana claimed to have raised her demand in the parliament, stating that the matter is yet to receive attention. "I can only hope that OTT gets censorship as soon as possible for the welfare of the country," she said.
