A viral video featuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has resurfaced. In the video, Netanyahu is asked if he's aware if he has been drawing comparisons with the iconic fictional spy James Bond. His response was, "Am I aware of the comparison? Well, nonsense. It’s Netanyahu; Benjamin Netanyahu," a nod to the famous James Bond introduction line.
The resurfacing of Netanyahu's "007 comeback" video comes fresh off the heels of simultaneous pager explosions that killed members of Hezbollah, bringing the Israel-Lebanon war back into focus. The context wasn’t lost on geopolitical observers, one of whom commented, “Got to love this guy. All the Palestinian lovers are currently flopping around and foaming at the mouth watching this video,”.Another wrote, “This is going to trigger an awful lot of Jew haters.”An X user went so far as to say, “Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists started this war, not Israel!”But history is written by survivors, who in this case have maintained that it all began after the October 7 attack, disregarding the longer timeline, a version of which starts in 1948, when Israel was born.India has long advocated for a two-state solution to the matter, a stance that was consistent with its recent abstention from a United Nations General Assembly resolution that demanded Israel end its "unlawful presence" in the occupied Palestinian territories within 12 months. The resolution passed with 124 votes in favour, 14 against, and 43 abstentions. Countries like Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada also abstained, while the United States and Israel voted against the resolution.India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, stressed India's commitment to "dialogue and diplomacy," to "build bridges, not further divides." India also previously condemned the loss of civilian lives, calling for an immediate ceasefire and the release of hostages. It reiterated that direct negotiations between Israel and Palestine are the only path to peace. It's Netanyahu’s sixth term as Prime Minister. He heads the farthest right-wing and religious government in Israel's history.Man with phone : “Netanyahu, did you know that they’re now comparing you to James Bond?”
