Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive Drag X Drive has finally been given a release date by Nintendo.
The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive looks like it could be the console's answer to Rocket League, featuring multiplayer-centric gameplay and fast-paced action.
One of the big games announced during the April Direct, Drag X Drive has been given an August 14 release date exclusively for Switch 2.
In addition to announcing a release date, Nintendo has also opened pre-orders for the wheelchair basketball game.
Available from the Nintendo eShop only, Drag X Drive can be pre-ordered for the surprisingly low price of £16.99.
Hopefully this means it will attract a wider audience, which will help with online multiplayer.
One of the games to really showcase the Switch 2 mouse controls, Drag X Drive is a 3-v-3 wheelchair basketball game.
Players control the wheels of the chair using the left and right JoyCons.
Nintendo explains more: "Hold each Joy-Con 2 controller like a mouse for tight control of both your wheels as you speed around the court.
"Raise your hand and flick your wrist to shoot...and score! Team up with - or take on - friends and players from around the world online in fast-paced 3-on-3 matches."
With the Drag X Drive release date finally confirmed, Switch 2 owners are waiting for more news about Metroid Prime 4.
Nintendo currently has first-party games planned for July (Donkey Kong Bananza), August (Drag X Drive) and October (Pokemon Legends).
Hopefully this means Metroid Prime 4 is likely to launch in either September, November or December.
The game sees Samus Aran explore the planet of Viewros in search of a way home. Metroid Prime 4 supports mouse controls on Switch 2, as well as frame-rates of up to 120FPS.
