Palworld developer PocketPair has released a brand new update on , |S and PC. Palworld update 0.5.4 doesn't add much in the way of new gameplay features or improvements, but it does fix a pretty annoying problem on the PlayStation 5.
Indeed, according to the patch notes, the latest Palworld update fixes an autosave bug for the PS5. PocketPair explains more: "We received reports and cooperation from many players about the autosave bug on PS5, and have identified the cause of the bug and fixed it."
Unfortunately, however, the autosave fix has caused unexpected problems for some users, leading to the developer posting a follow-up tweet with additional instructions.
"The issue with the auto-save feature on the PS5 version has been addressed in the v0.5.4 update," reads a follow-up post.
"However, we have confirmed that for some users who started playing from version 0.5.0, their save data may have partially rolled back after applying the v0.5.4 update."
If you've been affected by the latest save issue, then PocketPair recommends restoring your previous save data.
"The most recent save data is stored as a backup," the studio explains. "Please go to the World Select screen and choose "Restore from Backup Data" to retrieve it.
"We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused."
Outside of the rather convoluted save data fix, the new update addresses some minor bugs on all platforms.
