Forest fires across the vibrant coastal city of Izmir, Turkey have forced Adnan Menderes Airport to ground all flights.
According to Flightradar, the 9pm flight to Hanover is cancelled, as well as the 9.05pm to Cologne. In addition, the 9.15pm to Trabzon is has also be axed, and the same goes for the 9.15pm (local time) arrival from Ankara.
Visitors travel Izmir for its ancient sites, such as Ephesus, its stunning bazaars, and its beautiful coastline along the Aegean Sea. There are now direct flights from London Heathrow with British Airways and Bristol with Wizzair.
