The 1% Club viewers were baffled when three players were eliminated after one of the easiest questions they've seen on the show.
Comedian Lee Mack hosts the ITV quiz show which challenges 100 players to increasingly difficult questions to find the smartest contestants.
For the 30 percent question this Saturday (12th April), the quizzers were challenged to find two longer words made up from four shorter words, 'note', 'mill', 'wind' and 'book'.
Fans watching at home quickly solved the riddle, identifying the words 'notebook' and 'windmill' within seconds.
However, they took to social media in droves when a surprising three players failed to answer correctly.
Many of them felt the question was even too easy for the 30 percent category, let alone fiendish enough to catch out multiple contestants.
One viewer fumed on X (formerly Twitter): "Are these primary school questions? Notebook and Windmill? Come on! #the1percentclub."
"Why is the 30% question EASIER than the 90% question," someone else asked.
Another made a bold claim: "Perhaps the easiest 30% question in the history of the show, certainly the easiest one tonight."
A fourth viewer was in disbelief: "Surely not. You can't tell me that's a 30% question."
While a final bemused fan asked: "How the feck did 3 get that wrong?"
This week's episode concluded with a show first as an impressive 12 contestants made it to the final round, the most finalists in the show's history.

They were challenged with a tricky anagram for the 1 percent question, given the phrase 'one selling fresh salmon' with several letters underlined in red.
Players had to find the word 'fishmonger' from the remaining letters, which only three of the 12 were able to do.
David, Ellis and Govind emerged victorious, splitting a staggering £93,000 prize pot and walking away with an incredible £31k each.
The 1% Club airs Saturdays at 8:20pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
