Steve Bannon has made a damning World War 3 statement live on air after claiming US president Donald Trump "leaked" his plans to strike Iran overnight. The MAGA supporter and former senior aide to Trump told listeners of his War Room podcast: "The party is on," in a bombshell announcement, which was aired on right-wing news channel Real America's Voice.
Speaking on-air, Bannon said: "I'm just reporting what I'm hearing from pretty good sources. The party is on. So another big weekend in this unfolding aspect of the Third World War, and anybody who is telling you that the Third World War is not here absolutely does not understand the development and evolution of kinetic energy."
Bannon headed to the White House earlier this week, reportedly to claim Israeli intelligence was unreliable and that the bombs dropped on Iran might not work. He also warned of the risks to US troops stationed in the Middle East.
Bannon correctly predicted the Iran strikes and now his chilling warning has left viewers disturbed, after Donald Trump addressed the nation to say: "Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated."
One social media user responded: "We need to remove this sitting president immediately... If we don't show some common sense and courage now, [he] will drag us into the pit of hell with him."
Another posted: "No-one takes this guy seriously." While a third echoed: "Oh, you're 'just reporting what you're hearing,' huh? Let's be real, Steve - what exactly are your sources? Because if it's coming from Trump's inner circle, his cousins, his pool boy, or the guy who trims the hedges at Mar-a-Lago, forgive us if we don't treat it like classified intel.
"You don't get to stir panic about WWIII while hiding behind 'pretty good sources.' Either name them or sit down."
Last week, Steve urged Trump not to get involved in a conflict with Iran, begging: "My mantra right now: The Israelis have to finish what they started. We can't do this again. We'll tear the country apart. We can't have another Iraq."
