If you're looking to upgrade your mattress in time for the summer, now is a great time to buy and upgrade your entire sleep set-up for a cut of the usual price. As a home and shopping writer, I spend a lot of time scouring the internet for the best deals on mattresses and, as a self-proclaimed Simba fan (I've put its and bedding to the test), this latest giveaway from the British sleep brand caught my eye.
The current giveaway means you can get up to £646 worth of free bedding when you buy one of Simba's mattresses. But this offer will not last long, as it ends on June 5, 2025, so act quickly if you want to take advantage of the deal.
Of course, upgrading your mattress doesn't come cheap, but if you're going to have a new bed, then getting pillows, a mattress protector, and a duvet for free certainly eases some of the cost.
The number of freebies you get depends on which size and model of mattress you buy. Simba offers a range of mattresses from the entry-level , which starts at just £499, to the premium , which starts at £1,999. Mattresses in the Earth range, Simba's eco-friendly offering, are also included.
Admittedly, you do have to spend a lot to get the maximum £646 worth of products. The two premium mattresses in the range, the Simba Luxe and Simba Ultra, come with the full bedding package: two free Hybrid pillows, a mattress protector, and the Hybrid duvet, which together cost up to £646.
But, if you're looking to invest in a mattress that will last and benefit how you sleep in the process, then I can vouch that it's worth it. While I own the Hybrid Pro, which I absolutely love, our Shopping Editor Aimee Robinson has been sleeping on the Hybrid Ultra for over a year. She said: "I've had a since 2023, and the benefits to how I sleep (and how I feel when I wake up in the morning) are pretty significant. Yes, full price, the mattress retails for £2,999 for the king size, but I can't quite believe how much better I sleep each night."
If that price is a little too high for you, then it's worth considering the Hybrid Pro - my current mattress. It retails for £1,199 for the double, but without exaggeration, the Simba Hybrid Pro is one of the best mattresses I've ever slept on. It helped ease my hip and back pain, which I put solely down to the medium-firm feel of the bed as well as the combination of foam and springs.

As for the freebies up for grabs, at the very least you'll get the Pure Pillow, and if you splurge on a top-of-the-range mattress, there's the Hybrid pillows, Hybrid Duvet and mattress protector to consider too. The Pure Pillow is Simba's most basic and while we don't have first-hand experience ourselves, Simba says it is fluffy and soft.
Of the bedding range, it's the hybrid duvet that I really rate. I'm a hot sleeper, but even in the summer months, I like to have a duvet on the bed to get myself off to sleep. One of my favourite things about the duvet is that it's suitable for year-round use because it's been designed to keep you cool in the summer but warm in the winter. It works by having dual layers, one side uses Simba's cooling fabric, which is actually cool to the touch. It's also lightweight and soft.
This duvet is really lightweight and soft, but don't let that put you off thinking that it won't keep you nice and warm when winter rolls back around.
I also have the . Mattress protectors are an absolute essential if you have a new mattress. The Simba one is nice and deep, so it fits snugly on the bed and won't ping off when you move around. I also love that it's quilted, so it's got that little bit of extra softness to it. The Simba mattresses can feel a bit firm when you first sleep on them, so the softness does help ease you into it.
Though we haven't tried the Pure Pillow, our Shopping Editor did test the Hybrid Pillow (which you'll get with some of the more expensive mattresses in the range) and gave it 4.5 stars for comfort. However, she did notice that the temperature-regulating effects aren't quite as noticeable when it's inside a pillow case.
The free gifts you get depend on which type of mattress you buy. The good news is that even if you buy from the budget range, you'll still get a freebie because they've included all of their mattresses in this deal.
