Mary Berry's 'foolproof' baked salmon recipe with parmesan is 'on the table in no time'

Salmon is a light and delicious fish, typically consumed in the summer months alongside potatoes or a salad. However, it can be hard to know how to cook salmon, which often leads to it being cooked too much. Luckily, Mary Berry's recipe tells you everything you need to know and even shares a tasty salmon topping recipe.

The recipe notes said: "Mary Berry's foolproof recipe for easy baked salmon with luscious crunchy parmesan crust can be on the table in no time." The recipe serves six people and is ready in just 10 minutes, perfect for a quick meal.

How to make Mary Berry's baked salmon

Ingredients:

Six salmon fillets, skinned

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

150g cream cheese

Small garlic clove, crushed

Half a lemon, grated rind only

25g white breadcrumbs

25g coarsely grated parmesan

Two tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley

Paprika

Method:

Preheat the oven to 200C or 180C Fan and then season both sides of the salmon fillets.

Place on a greased baking sheet or in a roasting tin.

Next, mash the cream cheese with the garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon rind.

Divide into six and spread on top of each salmon fillet until nicely coated.

Mix the breadcrumbs, parmesan and parsley in a small bowl, seasoning to taste.

Sprinkle on top of the cream cheese mixture and dust with paprika.

Bake in the oven for just 15 minutes. To tell when the salmon is done, it will have changed from translucent to an opaque pink.

Serve immediately with potatoes, rice or salad and garnish it with some chopped parsley.
