
Two lanes were closed on the M62 after a crash, as drivers were warned to expect delays.
In an update on X at 9.03am, National Highways told drivers: "1 lane (of 4) remains closed on the #M62 eastbound in #Cheshire between J11 (#Risley) and J12 (#M60) following a collision.
"Recovery is ongoing at scene. There's a 45 minute delay on approach with 5 miles of congestion."
Another update 40 minutes later announced that the incident was "clear, and all lanes have re-opened on the #M62 eastbound in #Cheshire between J11 (#Risley) and J12 (#M60)".
It told drivers long delays remain in the area "but should now start to ease". The agency also offered its thanks to motorists held up this morning.
