Grigor Dimitrov confirmed that he has entered a new relationship with a fresh post on his Instagram story. The tennis star was spotted with Hollywood star Eiza Gonzalez earlier this week, and he has since shared a snap of the actress on his social media with a flirty message.
Dimitrov suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of lucky loser Gabriel Diallo at the Mutua Madrid Open on Wednesday night, being beaten 5-7, 7-6(7), 6-4. However, the Bulgarian appears to have quickly moved on from failing to reach the quarter-finals.
The 35-year-old shared a photo of Gonzalez on his Instagram story on Friday evening of his rumoured girlfriend wearing a black two-piece whilst attending the opening of a David Yurman store in Miami, Florida.
He captioned the post: "Are you kidding me," along with a flame emoji and a black love heart.
The pair were spotted together in Madrid prior to the public relationship hint, with for Dimitrov's third-round victory over Nicolas Jarry. Following his win, the 33-year-old approached his player box and received a kiss on the cheek from Gonzalez, who appeared to say: "Amazing, baby."
Gonzalez rose to fame in Hollywood following her appearance as Monica 'Darling' Costello in 2017 hit film Baby Driver. She has also enjoyed roles in I Care A Lot in 2020 and Godzilla vs. Kong in 2021. The 35-year-old will also play characters in In the Grey and Fountain of Youth, which are both set to be released later this year.
Dimitrov is no stranger to high-profile relationships, having dated fellow tennis player Maria Sharapova, as well as singer Nicole Scherzinger and actress Madalina Ghenea. Over the past few years, the public nature of his dating life has cooled down, though the recent spree of appearances with Gonzalez looks set to change that.
He will next appear at the ATP Tour Masters tournament Internazionali BNL d'Italia, where he will be looking to bounce back to form before he turns his attention to the Geneza Open. Dimitrov will be hoping that strong showings in both competitions will put him in good stead before Roland Garros, where he reached the quarter-finals last year, losing to .
