'Gorgeous' parasol features stylish glass droplets that 'catch the sunlight'

With summer and sunny days here, sitting outdoors and catching some rays is just what is needed. Whether it's dinner parties, BBQs or laying out with a book, everyone is always happy to see the sun. In saying this, many people also appreciate the option for some shade and protection whilst outdoors.

Parasols have become an important piece of furniture for many however, getting the correct one that will cover all areas needed and is also stylish can be difficult. Now however, Dunelm has a 2.85m Peacock and Gold Carousel Parasol for £100 which has been rated highly by customers.

This parasol is made as a unique shape and is complemented with an intricate trim detail - meaning it is both functional and decorative. For easy use it also has a crank mechanism that allows for easy opening and closing and has an adjustable tilt feature that ensures customers can move it to whatever position they desire, depending on the direction of the sun.

Made from 100% polyester and a steel pole, the parasol is advised to only be cleaned with a wipe and shoppers should remember that the weight/base is not included - but is necessary for secure use.

If this parasol isn't the one for everyone, there are a number of alternatives shoppers could choose from such as the Large Banana Parasol in Cream for £67.99 from the Range and is designed with a large 3-metre canopy and is said to be perfect for protecting shoppers from the sunshine whilst giving patios or deckings a stylish, modern look. Another option could be the Argos Home 2m Garden Parasol in Grey for £26.25 which is made from durable and water-repellent polyester fabric and weighs a light 2.4kg.

The Peacock Parasol has been rated a high 4.4 out of 5 star rating on Dunelm's website. One person wrote: "Gorgeous parasol, the glass droplets catch the sunlight, lovely turquoise colour."

Another said: "Huge umbrella. It is a lovely bright turquoise colour with pretty beeding around."

"This parasol is beautiful. Such a lovely colour and the beads are very pretty," said another.

Not everyone felt the same way however as one customer said: "Lovely shade, very pretty but maybe a bit too high."

"It looks great but is badly made," said another.
