Emmerdale viewers have speculated who will be the one to end Kev Townsend's life, and they believe it won't be Aaron Dingle.
Kev, portrayed by Chris Coghill, made his first appearance on the popular ITV soap this year, moving to the Dales after serving a lengthy prison sentence for bank robbery.
It was later revealed that Kev had married Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) while incarcerated. Unaware at the time that Kev would ever be released, Robert had entered into a relationship with him as a means of survival in prison.
Now enjoying his freedom, Kev is hopeful that he and Robert can live happily ever after in the village, much to the dismay of Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
Aaron and Kev have had numerous confrontations, but things took a dark turn this week when Kev threatened to kill Aaron if he interfered with his relationship with Robert, reports the Daily Star.
In Tuesday's episode (October 28), Aaron informed Robert about Kev's threats, leaving him concerned. Later, Robert confronted Kev and things escalated once again, only for Aaron to show up.
However, Kev managed to remain calm, much to Robert's relief. With Kev making a number of enemies and revealing his true nature, fans are convinced that he will meet a violent end. However, in what could be a major twist for the ITV soap, they suspect that the murderer will not be Aaron.
On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, one viewer expressed: "Really can't stand Robert's husband!" Another fan speculated that Aaron's mum Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) might be the one to take him down, suggesting: "Get Chas to kill him."
A third agreed: "That'd be unexpected!" while another commented: "Aaron would be too obvious." A fifth pondered: "If Kev does something bad to Aaron I can see Chas going after him."
Earlier this month, Chris, who portrays Kev, discussed his character's complexity, stating: "It's very complicated because Kev is unhinged. But there is some genuine feelings there, but they're not quite what they should be."
Ryan chimed in with: "It's unclear at this stage as well, what his feelings are. There's this guy that turns up and says he's his husband, but Robert is trying to actively pursue Aaron.... An absolute bombshell".
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
