gameshow returned on Saturday, 19th April, for another brand new episode with host and six celebrity guests. Joining him in the studio were Birds of a Feather icon Lesley Joseph, 79, Mel B, 49, comedians Nish Kumar, 39, and Rosie Jones, 34, Corrie star Antony Cotton, 49, and legend Shane Richie, 61.

Every week sees six new famous faces on the panel to help contestants win the coveted cheque book and pen. The game is split into two rounds, with two players competing against each other. Bradley reads out a joke or comment, and the participants have to write their answers first on a card in secret. The celebrities are then asked to give their answers. If the players manage to match their answer with any of the celebrities, they're in with a chance of taking home the prize.

During Easter Saturday's episode, Bradley welcomed Helena to the show. The Essex resident had already given him the giggles as she revealed her occupation - a sex therapist; however, The Chase host found himself in stitches as she attempted her first Blankety Blank.

Bradley pondered: "Never date a tennis umpire. They're good fun, but they'll keep shouting 'blank' in bed." Helena found the question funny, stifling her giggles and quickly putting down her answer, but Bradley was not prepared for it.

After giving the celebrities a chance to write their choices, the 64-year-old went to Helena for her word. Holding up her card and hiding her face, it was revealed she had written 'BLANKS'. Looking amused but incredulous, Bradley dissolved into laughter as the celebrity panel cracked up. Turning to them, he said: "You can't make it up!" While Corrie star Antony Cotton exclaimed: "Helena, babe, that's not how it works!"

Thankfully, the TV personalities all had more interesting answers, with Lesley Joseph opting for the word 'OUT' as what a tennis umpire would keep shouting out in bed, while all the rest chose 'NEW BALLS, PLEASE'.

Those watching along at home loved the combination of Bradley, the celebs and the players on Saturday night's show. One viewer wrote on social media: "absolute phenomenal television!" Another person added: "Blankety Blank contestants are bonkers!"

Blankety Blank continues Saturdays on BBC One and iPlayer.
