Household come in all shapes and sizes, and while rodents, like , are seemingly the worst, flies are also a nuisance. Whether you find them buzzing around food and bins in your or appearing randomly elsewhere, can be removed more easily than you think.
Experts from Fantastic Pest Control said: "Seeing a couple of flies inside your home is no big deal. However, when their numbers increase and simply swatting them doesn't do much, you have a fly infestation on your hands. It needs immediate attention and treatment as it can get very gross, very fast."
Pet dirt, overspilling rubbish bins and waste food, light and warmth, and decaying vegetation in the garden close to the house attract flies indoors.
Sweet or fermented liquids, such as expired juices, spilt juices, and rotting fruit, also attract flies in large numbers. The pest control experts added: "Fruit flies, house flies, cluster flies and blue bottle flies are also drawn to sweets."
Fortunately, you can make three easy traps to rid flies from your home, and they use common household items.
Vinegar bait trapJordan Foster of Fantastic Pest Control suggests combining vinegar with other attractive ingredients.

The recipe calls for two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, one tablespoon of sugar, half a cup of warm water, and a few drops of dishwashing detergent combined in a bowl.
Stir everything together, then place the bowl near the area where flies are present. Jordan said: "The sweet scent will attract the flies, and they will come into contact with the solution, causing them to die."
CandleGetting rid of flies can be as simple as lighting a candle in the case of low-level infestations.
Place a lit candle in the centre of a plate and add a small amount of water to surround the base of the candle. Turn off the lights and wait.
According to the pest control expert, the combination of light and water will attract flies to the candle and trap them.
Fruit fly trapA piece of fruit could be the answer to luring in several flies and removing them from your home.
"Take a bowl and put a piece of fruit inside," Jordan said. "Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Use a sharp object to poke a few small holes in the plastic wrap."
For maximum benefit, place the trap where fruit flies are present. They will hurry towards the scent of the decaying fruit and enter through the holes, but they won't be able to escape.
Once trapped, you can remove and dispose of the captured flies. You can either empty the dead flies outside or place the trap in a sealed bag and dispose of it in the bin.
