Channel 5's beloved series 'All Creatures Great and Small' makes a triumphant return, and in the episode titled 'Pair Bond', we see Richard Carmody, portrayed by James Anthony-Rose, teaming up with Samuel West's Siegfried Farnon for farm visits. Their storyline intertwines with Miss Grantley's goat woes, with the character brought to life by Hampshire-born Juliet Aubrey.

At 57, Juliet Aubrey is an esteemed presence on stage, television, and silver screen, her talent culminating in a BAFTA win for her portrayal in 'Middlemarch', along with a key voice role as Eve Chilcott on BBC Radio 4's 'The Archers'.

Raised with two other siblings, Juliet cultivated her passion for performance during her academic tenure at King's College London, where she immersed herself in Classics and Archaeology before venturing to Italy and weaving theatre into her journey.

The jump from stage to screen was marked by her celebrated stint as Dorothea in BBC's rendition of 'Middlemarch', which heralded her rise to acclaim with a BAFTA nod for Best Actress.

Aubrey is instantly recognisable to many as Chief Inspector Christina Brand from the crime series 'Professor T'.

Diving into her personal life, 2001 marked her union with production design expert Steve Ritchie, after sparks first flew on the set of an ITV rendition of Catherine Cookson's The Moth.

Their romantic engagement tale unfolded on Newcastles Tyne Bridge as told to Teesside Live, where despite the elements, Aubrey reminisced: "It was romantic - especially in the pouring rain."

She added, "Joking aside, it was beautiful and we had already talked about marriage for ages before Steve proposed."

She recalled: "He asked me to go for a walk on the bridge. We walked the full length and then halfway back he said: `Will you marry me'? He had a bottle of champagne in his pocket and the wedding ring. That was the first time I saw it."

The couple has two daughters, Blythe and Lola Blue.

Interestingly, Juliet is also the cousin of U2's guitarist, David Howell Evans, also known as The Edge.

Juliet revealed that she and her famous cousin share a common interest in environmental issues and saving the planet.

In an interview with Western Mail, she fondly remembered that they "used to play as kids".

All Creatures Great and Small continues on Channel 5 at 9pm
