The much-awaited third episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show is all set to hit Netflix, and this time the laughter is powered by cricketers. The upcoming episode features Indian cricket stars Rishabh Pant, Yuzvendra Chahal, Abhishek Sharma, and team mentor Gautam Gambhir — and the promo is already making waves online.
In the hilarious sneak peek shared by Netflix, the cricketers let loose on Kapil Sharma’s couch, revealing some behind-the-scenes banter from the dressing room. The highlight? Rishabh Pant’s cheeky revelation about the “brother-in-law” of the Indian team.
When Kapil playfully asked who in the squad acts like a "sister-in-law"—talking behind backs—Abhishek Sharma diplomatically replied, "I'm new." But things got spicy when Kapil followed up with, “Then who’s the jija ji (brother-in-law) of the team, the one who keeps complaining?” Without hesitation, Rishabh Pant named Mohammed Shami, prompting Gautam Gambhir to quip, “Woh toh do saal se ghar hi nahi gaya” — suggesting Shami’s been too busy to complain at home.
The promo didn’t stop at locker-room jibes. Gautam Gambhir, known for his serious demeanor, was asked by Kapil why he always looks so stern. Before Gambhir could answer, Pant jumped in to say that during tight match situations, everyone feels the heat. Gambhir hit back with a witty punch, “If your show isn’t going well, won’t you be tense too?”
Krushna Abhishek and Sunil Grover also added to the comic chaos. Krushna teased Chahal over his fearless online persona, while Sunil, mimicking Navjot Singh Sidhu’s signature style, roasted Chahal over his team Punjab Kings' IPL final loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore — a team Chahal once played for.
