Kidney Disease Symptoms: Kidneys work to flush toxins from our body. If there is any disease in this organ, then our body gives some signals, such as the frequency of urination. Let's know about this from the experts.
Kidney Disease Symptoms: Have you ever paid attention to how many times you urinate in a day? If not, then start paying attention to this from now on. Kidney diseases can be detected by this. Yes, the easiest way to find out about kidney diseases is to understand your urine activity. Whether our kidneys are working properly or not, whether the toxins of the body are being filtered by it or not, all these things are known by testing urea and creatinine. If both these substances increase in the body, then it can cause kidney disease. Let's know about this.
What do the experts say?Dr Prashant Jain of the Urology Department of PCRI Hospital explains that creatinine and urea are both such things that weaken the functioning of the kidney the most. Urea is formed by the breakdown of protein and creatinine is formed by the breakdown of muscles. Both of these are related to urine and water. If we drink less water, then creatinine and urea are formed in the body. In such a situation, a slight change is seen in the urination habit of a person.
How does urea and creatinine increase?Urea and creatinine are formed or reduced due to our daily activities. Urea is usually caused by drinking less water. A person has to drink at least 3 liters of water in a day. If someone drinks 1 liter of water, his urea increases and urea is released in the urine. The reason for increased creatinine is muscles. Most thin people's body goes through this problem because the muscles of thin people break down, due to which they are thin and also produce creatinine. The reason for increased creatinine can also be diabetes and cholesterol or high BP. Many times these lifestyle factors are also the cause of kidney disease.
What is the correct frequency of urination?According to the doctor, a healthy person urinates between 800ml to 2000ml per day. A person should urinate at least 5 to 8 times in a day. If someone urinates less than this, he should get himself examined. Apart from this, dark coloured urine or excessive urination is also not a good sign.
How to find out about this? For this you will have to get tested. If your urea report is between 7 to 20 mg/dL, it means that both the kidneys are working properly. But if it is higher than this criterion, it means that there is some problem in the kidney. Experts say that it may vary slightly according to a person's age, diet, medicines and health condition, but if the level of blood urea and creatinine is very high, then it has a big impact on your urine habits. It is also a sign of kidney failure.
Risk of which disease?According to experts, the increase in both of these increases the risk of CKD i.e. Chronic Kidney Disease. This is the most fatal disease among kidney diseases. The symptoms of this kidney disease include getting tired very quickly, excessive or less urination, swelling in the feet, ankles or face, loss of appetite, vomiting or nausea and itching in the hands and feet.
