Hero MotoCorp has officially launched its first maxi-style scooter, the Xoom 160, across India. First showcased at the India Mobility Show earlier this year, the scooter stands out for its muscular design, high-riding position, and large 14-inch alloy wheels with block-pattern tyres, giving it a commanding presence on the road. Designed for both city commuting and rough-road adventure, the Xoom 160 is positioned as a multipurpose scooter for riders seeking performance and style.
The scooter is priced at around ₹1.49 lakh ex-showroom, with expectations of a reduction after GST 2.0 implementation. Customers can book it online or at Hero Premia dealerships nationwide.
Performance: The Xoom 160 is powered by a 156cc liquid-cooled engine, delivering 14.69 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm, ensuring quick acceleration and improved mileage. It also comes with Hero’s i3S silent-start system and 4-valve technology, giving it an edge over conventional air-cooled scooters.
Features: Hero has equipped the Xoom 160 with a smart key system, remote seat access, dual-chamber LED headlamp, front disc brake with ABS, and a Bluetooth-connected digital console with turn-by-turn navigation, making it the most feature-loaded scooter in its segment.
