have apologised after accidentally forgetting to edit out swearing by legend during an interview for Goodison Park's farewell. The Toffees are gearing up for an emotional final game at their beloved stadium against on May 18 before moving into their new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock next season.
The broadcaster had been airing coverage of Everton legends talking about their time playing at Goodison Park in the build-up to this weekend's swansong and used an interview with Reid, who played 234 times for the club, winning the First Division Twice and the .
But Reid was seen swearing during his chat with Sky while discussing Everton's dramatic late equaliser through James Tarkowski in the 2-2 draw against earlier this year.
He said: "Someone said to me afterwards, 'You had two chances, you had a celebration there and four minutes later you had a celebration'. I said, 'Yeah, but what about the f***ing three heart attacks I had in between!"
Reid appeared to immediately realise his blunder before laughing and put his hand up to the camera and the broadcast was suddenly cut short.

Fans couldn't help but hide their amusement after the gaffe was broadcast, as one fan wrote on : "Watching this Goodbye Goodison on SSN, they really left in Peter Reid swearing!!!"
Another said: "Peter Reid swearing in the Everton Sky documentary has to be one of the moment of the season."

A third added: "Got Sky Sports on in the background whilst I work, all of a sudden cut off so I looked up. Genuinely thought someone had died or it was the end of the as we know it, turns out Peter Reid had dropped the F bomb on that Goodison documentary and they hadn’t edited it out."

Sky Sports are required to apologise for anyone swearing live on air otherwise they can face a fine from Ofcom. This even applies for after the 9pm watershed.
A statement from the Ofcom website says: “Ofcom has a duty to apply standards which provide adequate protection to audiences from offensive and harmful content on TV and radio. If broadcasters air programmes that break the rules, and if the breach is serious or repeated, we can impose sanctions on them, including fines."
