Welcome to the Mirror's Daily Digest, where we'll be pulling together all the biggest stories of the day from our News, Showbiz, Politics teams and more.

This Tuesday, we're featuring everything from Ozzy Osbourne's cause of death, to the full list of 40 suspects caught on CCTV during the Southport riots, through to pictures of the Oasis fan who sadly died at Wembley over the weekend.

We've also taken a look at news of a 'serious' virus from Australia that is coming to the UK, as well as how fewer GP appointments than ever are happening face to face.

Ozzy Osbourne's cause of death confirmed days after Black Sabbath star's funeral

Late this afternoon, our Showbiz team reported that Ozzy Osbourne's cause of death has been revealed. The Black Sabbath legend died on July 22, aged 76, surrounded by his wife, Sharon, and children. In recent years, Ozzy had been battling ill health, which he had spoken publicly about, but had been determined to make it to Villa Park for his final performance just days before he died.

Now, his death certificate states that the Prince of Darkness died following an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease with autonomic dysfunction (joint causes). An acute myocardial infarction occurs when the blood flow to the heart is blocked, often by a blood clot, causing damage to the muscles of the heart.

NHS warns serious virus 'rampant in Australia' coming to UK image

Our Health team has reporter warnings that the UK should brace for a surge in a potentially serious virus following a record number of cases in Australia, health experts have said.

NHS officials said that the Australian winter is often a good predictor of how viruses will spread in England.

And following a surge in cases number of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) cases in Australia, officials have said that cases have been steadily increasing in England since the start of 2025.

NHS England has urged pregnant women to get the vaccine which protects against RSV in order to protect their newborn babies.

Oasis death: Lee Claydon named as 'loving family man' who died in Wembley fall image

Our UK news team has reported the identify of the man who sadly fell to his death during an Oasis gig for the first time.

Lee Claydon was pronounced dead at the scene at Wembley Stadium on Saturday having suffered “injuries consistent with a fall”.

Paying tribute to the dad on Facebook, his cousin Shannon Gabrielle said: "Honestly don't even know what words to write right now. My cousin Lee tragically passed away this weekend after no doubt having the time of his life at the Oasis concert this weekend, most will have seen snippets in the news I'm sure & as you can imagine it has devastated the whole family and for his closest knit family unit it's the toughest time they are going through ever right now.

Southport riot suspects: Full list of 40 hunted by cops caught on CCTV image

Our UK News team also reported today that police are still urgently wanting to speak to at least 40 thugs who rioted in the wake of the Southport stabbings.

Authorities are still on the hunt for the protesters who torched vehicles and hurled bricks as they clashed with police after the Southport stabbings last year.

Disorder eurpted across the UK after after Axel Rudakubana, 18, murdered three girls in Southport at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class last year, amid false rumours the killer was a Muslim immigrant.

The unrest led to a total of 1,876 people being arrested, with 1,110 charged so far, the National Police Chiefs' Council said. It comes as a dad was jailed after a boy, 7, was found dead inside washing machine.

Fewer GP appointments are now face-to-face amid rise of phone consultations image

In a busy day for our Health team, they also reported earlier today that a third of GP appointments are being carried out either over the phone or online, which is the highest proportion since the pandemic.

Latest monthly NHS data shows 33.3% of appointments in England in June were not face to face. The figure is up from 30.9% a year earlier in June 2024, and 28.3% in June 2023. Most appointments which are not in person involve a phone call but an increasing number of being conducted via video call online. It comes after NHS data showed GP practices have carried out seven million more appointments in the last year.
