Katy Perry 'relieved' over Orlando Bloom split after horrendous divorce heartache

Katy Perry is said to be "relieved" over her split from Orlando Bloom after her first divorce heartache. The singing sensation is rumoured to have ended things after months of troubles with the actor – but neither have confirmed a split yet.

However, it has been reported that Katy is "relieved" due to the fact they aren't married, which means they don't need to get divorced. This is compared to when Katy got divorced from Russel Brand back in July 2012 after just over a year of marriage.

It was said to be a very difficult time for Katy which she wouldn't need to do again, however she was engaged to actor Orlando after he popped the question six years ago in 2019. The couple also share their four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove together, who was born the following year in 2020.

A source told Us Weekly: "Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life." This comes after it has been rumoured that Orlando and Katy have called time on their almost decade-long relationship.

Katy previously suffered a horrendous break up with her ex-husband Russell Brand after he brutally ended their relationship via text moments before she was due on stage to perform. In a 2013 interview with Vogue, Katy shared her own thoughts on their ill-fated marriage: "He’s a very smart man, a magical man, and I was in love with him when I married him.

"At first when I met him, he wanted an equal, and I think a lot of times strong men do want an equal, but then they get that equal and they’re like, I can’t handle the equalness. He didn’t like the atmosphere of me being the boss on tour. So that was really hurtful, and it was very controlling, which was upsetting."

She added: "Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me."

The couple have been through several ups and downs since they first got together back in 2016. They went Instagram official in May 2016 when the Katy posted a funny photo of herself and Orlando dressed in bathrobes on the steps of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes, France.

It has been said that the couple have faced struggled between them since Katy's latest album 143, which released in September, caused Katy to be "stressed" and "deeply frustrated" after the album's poor performance.

Katy has also been away from home for some time as she is currently on a world tour. This means she has spent a lot of time away from her home in Montecito, California which has reportedly caused a "big disruption" in her home life with Orlando.

On Sunday, June 22, Orlando was spotted in Australia with their four-year-old daughter while Katy was in the city for two tour stops at the RAC Arena on June 22 and Monday, June 23. While the couple were not photographed together, it appeared Orlando and Daisy visited Katy while she was in the country on tour.

Earlier this month a source toldPage Six that the couple's relationship was already "over" and they are waiting till her world tour ends in December to break up. However, the couple are yet to mention the split rumours of confirm whether there is any truth to them or not.
