Katie Price reveals only man she's ever truly loved - and it's none of her husbands

Katie Price admitted the only man she ever truly loved was, awkwardly, none of her husbands. The mum-of-five, 47, has had three failed marriagesand a string of doomed relationships, but there is one suitor who, she says, broke her heart.

Opening up about her rollercoaster love life, the glamour icon, said Another Level star, Dane Bowers, 45, was the only one for her - until he broke her heart.

Katie and Dane dated from 1998 to 2000 before they split, with Katie calling the break-up the hardest she had ever experienced.

Talking about Dane on her reality show, titled Katie, the OnlyFans star admitted the Freak Me singer left her "heartbroken badly", sharing: “I’ve been hurt before. I’ve been heartbroken badly, when I split from Dane. He was the only guy who completely taught me about having your heart broken.

“I’ve always said that Dane’s the one who did that. Because of Dane, he’s made me have my barriers up and even with Pete, I’d like to say they all went down but there were a couple up still.

“Since splitting with Dane I have never let my barriers 100% down with anyone. Being heartbroken, that hurt. It’s not a nice feeling.”

Katie, who has been married to Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler, first crossed paths with Dane at the Wild Wild West film premiere in 1999, where they instantly hit it off. At the time, Dane had just become known for his high-profile hit Out of Your Mind, collaborating with Victoria Beckham, which shot him into the spotlight.

Katie, only 18 at the time, had been carving her career in the late '90s as a topless model under the name Jordan. Her rise to stardom was rapid, and soon she was gracing the covers of countless men's magazines. But the couple's relationship was said to have been plagued by rumours of infidelity and trust issues.

Dane was said to have been drawn to Katie’s glamour-girl image at first, but her love of the limelight soon proved a challenge. Katie’s mum, Amy, claimed in her book, The Last Word ,that Katie wasn’t happy in the relationship and that Dane got “jealous of her career.”

Though they seemed to be in a happy relationship, Katie once claimed that her boyfriend had been cheating on her. He has denied the claims.

Opening up on the Katie Price Show, she said: “He cheated on me bad. Oh my God, so bad.” She claimed he had reportedly been unfaithful with a dancer in Ibiza, with footage of the woman talking about Katie. She added: “So I was trying to get this video and I got it. When Dane came back, because we lived together, I said ‘Dane, just sit down, I’ve got something to show you’. I put it on and said, ‘So are you going to f***ing explain that then?’

“And he said ‘Oh no’, you know, denied it. And I just knew. Because then he went out with Sarah Bosnich, when he did the song with Victoria Beckham. Suddenly I wasn’t allowed to go away with them because there ‘wasn’t enough room’. Then he ended up with Sarah Bosnich, who was Victoria's friend. I’ve just been betrayed and lied to and everything.”

After their bitter split, Katie made amends with Dane and caught up with the singer six years ago during an episode of her reality show My Crazy Life.

She visited London club, Jakata, to support the singer's new band Boyz On Block after she was invited by one of Dane's friends and was eager to have a chat when she spotted him.

With a glint in her eye, Katie purred: "Come here Dane." However, he told her he was busy, with Katie lamenting: "Dane's too busy for me again. It's like another level with Dane. I'm just hanging on the side, he's busy doing his thing."

However, The Pricey later gave him a hug and said: "Oh Dane, how are you my darling? Do you know what's weird? You look older but it's still your eyes [look the same]. Isn't that weird?"

She continued: "You was a really good singer and a really good dancer, why do you think I fell for you?"

'When you was fat, you could dance. You was fat back in the day and I loved you when you were like that and you broke my heart."

The reality star then turned to one of Dane's friends and said: "I loved him so much. He was the love of my life."
