Huge star praised for skipping Jeff Bezos wedding as fans ask 'Are they even friends?'

Kourtney Kardashian has been praised for skipping out on Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos' multi-million dollar wedding in Venice, with some fans questioning their friendship. While her famous sisters were spotted at the huge celebrations, Kourtney shared what she got up to at the weekend, and it looked very different.

On 27 June, Lauren and Jeff exchanged vows at the San Giorgio Maggiore island, set against Venice’s iconic lagoon. The ceremony unfolded in a black‑tie garden event—Lauren arrived in a cream Dior suit before switching into a custom Dolce & Gabbana lace gown.

Around 200 high‑profile guests arrived by water taxi to witness the nuptials, including Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian & Kylie Jenner, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bill Gates, Tom Brady, Usher, Orlando Bloom and Kris Jenner.

The oldest Kardashian sister, Kourtney, 46, received widespread praise from fans for being the only Kardashian-Jenner sister to skip the huge wedding and instead spent time with her own husband, Travis Barker and their children.

Kourtney shared a carousel of images from her weekend, which appears to have been spent with her family. One snap included her going to the beach, while another looked like she was ready for a date night.

Kardashian also included a photo of a vintage convertible car and a video as she was driving along the beachfront. A sweet snap also featured her youngest children holding hands as they were walking down the street.

Kourtney shares three children with her ex-partner, Scott Disick and one with her husband, Travis. She is a proud mom to Mason Disick, 15, Penelope Disick, 12, and Reign Disick, 10, as well as one and a half year old Rocky Thirteen Barker.

Kourtney recieved praise from fans for not following her sisters to Italy, while others questioned her friendship with the newlyweds. One person said: “Kourtney said no Bezos thank you I have to go to the beach and eat strawberries”, while another added: “Cool Kardashians say no to the Bezos wedding !”.

A fourth chimed in: “Why didn't you go to Jeff's wedding?”, while another penned: “My favorite Kardashian. Living your best authentic no bs life”.

Following the ceremony, the blushing bride confirmed her marriage on Instagram, changing her handle to “Lauren Sánchez Bezos” and sharing the first official wedding photo with the caption “06/27/2025.”

The three-day multi-million dollar celebrations began with a welcome party on June 26 and wrapped on June 28. The final night featured live performances from Usher and DJ Cassidy, and, according to a source, the event “went until 4 in the morning”. Kim Kardashian wrote on Instagram that there was “so much love in the air”.
