Freddie Highmore’s explosive new series has finally set a release date as a riveting new trailer drops.
Prime Video has released the first-look at The Assassin, a must-watch, action-packed drama that teams up Highmore with fellow legendary star Keeley Hawes.
This thrilling six-part series features the pair as an estranged mother and son who go on the run when their past catches up to them.

The new trailer out from today (Thursday, 3rd July) promises an exciting game of cat and mouse with plenty of jaw-dropping twists and spectacle.
One of the most highly anticipated original shows of the year, the trailer has also confirmed a release date of Friday, 25th July, so there’s not long to wait.

A synopsis reads: “The trailer sees retired assassin Julie (Hawes) and her estranged son Edward (Highmore) amidst high-stake drama and thrilling action as they are forced to flee an idyllic Greek island when Julie’s dangerous past catches up with her.
“With questions around Edward’s paternity and Julie’s past life as a hitwoman, the pair go on the run across Europe, working together in a fight for survival.
“Along the way, their dysfunctional relationship is tested to its limits. They uncover a dark conspiracy they believe to be their only threat, but a greater danger emerges that could destroy their relationship entirely.
“In a race against time, Julie fights to save Edward and salvage their relationship as past and present collide in a showdown across the globe…”
