Coronation Street fans were left stunned over Mick Michaelis star Joe Layton's real voice on Wednesday's This Morning.
The actor appeared on the ITV chat show to talk about his recent storyline involving Mick, which concluded this week.
Soap watchers will recall that it's been an explosive few months for Joe's character Mick. Earlier this year, after discovering that enemy Kit Green was his son Brody's biological father, Mick went out in search of revenge.

However, it was poor PC Craig Tinker who received Mick's wrath and as the police officer pulled Mick over for speeding, as well as drink-driving, he attacked him with a baseball bat.

Craig later died of his injuries in hospital and Mick, after holding Kit and the latter's mother Bernie Winter hostage, was eventually arrested.
However, in scenes this week, Mick managed to escape from prison as he attempted to go on the run with his family. Yet, in true soap style, his plan backfired and after a showdown with Kit on the cobbles, where he stabbed him, Mick was arrested once again.

Talking about what's next for him after Coronation Street, Joe said he's involved in a touring UK production of Lost Atoms, which is written by Anna Jordan, whose credits include Succession and Killing Eve, and directed by Scott Graham.
A synopsis for the play reads: "Lost Atoms tells the story of a relationship: an extraordinary, transformative love. Or is that only in hindsight? Perhaps it was just typical? Or toxic? Or doomed from the start? One thing’s for sure: It changed their lives.
"Two people plunge deep into their shared pasts and propel themselves into multiple imagined futures. At times hilarious, at times devastating, Lost Atoms explores how memory impacts the way we look at love, and asks what makes a truly ‘successful’ relationship?"
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITV X from 7am.
This Morning continues on weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV X.
