Rajnath Singh Parliament Speech: Speaking on Operation Sindoor in Parliament, Rajnath Singh called it a symbol of India's military power and decisive leadership. He said that action was taken immediately after the attack.

In the monsoon session of Parliament on Monday (April 28, 2025), Defense Minister Rajnath Singh began his address by presenting the government's stand on Operation Sindoor. He described the military action after the Pahalgam terrorist attack as a symbol of India's strategic capabilities and decisive leadership. With Rajnath Singh's statement, this much-awaited debate began, on which the eyes of the whole country are fixed.
Rajnath Singh said, "First of all, through this House, I salute those brave sons who are always ready and prepared to protect the borders of this nation. At the same time, I also pay my respects to the memory of those martyrs who sacrificed their all to ensure the unity and integrity of India. On behalf of the entire country, I express my gratitude to all the soldiers of the armed forces."
The Defence Minister said, "On 6 and 7 May 2025, the Indian Army carried out a historic military operation codenamed 'Operation Sindoor'. It was not just a military action but it was an impressive and decisive demonstration of India's sovereignty, identity, our responsibility towards the citizens, and our policy against terrorism."
Rajnath Singh said, "Before carrying out this operation, our forces studied every aspect in detail. We had many options available, but we chose the option that caused maximum damage to the terrorists and their hideouts and did not cause any harm to the common citizens of Pakistan."
He further said, "This was a well-organized and precise action by the Indian forces, in which 9 terrorist structures were targeted and destroyed. According to initial estimates, more than 100 terrorists, their trainers, handlers, and associates were killed in this military action. Most of them were associated with terrorist organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen, which have the direct support of the Pakistan Army and ISI."
