For Goa’s Catholics, the penitential season of Lent is such a time – an opportunity for reflection, renewal and deeper understanding of their faith.
This year, Fr Savio Fernandes invites Catholics to embark on a transformative journey that combines a unique motorcycle tour with meaningful stops that reflect the spirit of this sacred season.
On Sunday, April 6, 2025, participants will get the opportunity to experience ‘The Easter Story’ — a half-day motorcycle tour that promises not only a physical adventure but also a spiritual one.

The half-day tour will take participants on a journey that weaves together sacred rituals, prayers, and the .
During this experience, they will not only explore key locations that symbolise the Christian journey of suffering and redemption, but also be able to immerse themselves in the acts of charity and service that embody the Christian mission.
Fr Savio, who is the assistant director of Caritas Goa, will lead this impactful motorcycle tour.
Throughout the session, participants will visit some of the most important and meaningful places in Goa that reflect the Christian values of love, compassion, and charity.
ABOUT THE TOUR
Throughout the session, participants will visit some of the most important and meaningful places in Goa that reflect the Christian values of love, compassion, and charity. The itinerary will be as follows:
8 am: Meeting point followed by mass at Obra de Protecao a Mulher (OPM), Nachinola
9.30 am: Arrival at an orphanage in Calangute
10.45 am: Arrival at the Mother Theresa House of Destitute Women, Carambolim
12 noon: Arrival at Shanti Avedna for terminally ill cancer patients, Loutolim
12.45 pm: Visit to a secret religious site (which is otherwise not open to the public) in South Goa
1 pm: Visit to a medicinal spring in Verna
1.15 pm: Traditional torashir and dried bombil will be served for lunch in Verna

As this tour includes sacred rituals and experiences rooted in Catholicism, it is reserved for Catholics only.
The tour is offered free of cost, although any voluntary donations would be welcome to help cover expenses.
