Mumbai: The Gamdevi police have registered yet another case the sixth against Deepak Dubey (35), a Navi Mumbai resident and former driver, for repeatedly harassing his 45-year-old ex-employer, a resident of South Mumbai. The latest complaint accuses him of stalking, despite multiple previous arrests and restraining measures.
According to police officials, Dubey was employed by a prominent South Mumbai business family between 2015 and 2016. He was dismissed from his job after repeatedly reporting to work in an intoxicated state. Upon termination, he allegedly issued threats to the family.
Following his dismissal, Dubey allegedly began a prolonged campaign of harassment, targeting the woman and her mother-in-law. He has previously been booked under multiple sections, including insulting a woman’s modesty, criminal intimidation, defamation, cheating by impersonation, and offences under the Information Technology Act. In July 2024, he was even arrested for attacking the woman with a knife at her sea-facing residence.

He reportedly disguised himself as a delivery boy to gain access to her building. After being released on bail, he resumed the harassment.
Between June 8 and June 22, 2025, the woman reportedly received several phone calls from Dubey, prompting her to once again approach the police. Based on her complaint, the Gamdevi police registered a fresh case against Dubey under Section 78(2) (stalking) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Further investigation is underway.
