The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) announced the Class 10 and Class 12 results for 2025 on Tuesday. In a major development aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that from the 2025–26 academic session, board exams for Classes 10 and 12 will be held twice a year.
The announcement, made during the result press conference, aims to provide students with an additional opportunity to enhance their scores. While this policy change marks a shift toward a more flexible exam system, the exact timeline and implementation details will be announced soon. The board is planning to hold the second round of exams within a six-month window, tentatively between July and August, as per the media reports.
Those students who appeared for MP Board Class 10 and 12 examinations in 2025 are now able to download their digital marksheets. Official hard copies of marksheets will be handed out subsequently through the students' respective institutions.
In support of students who may not pass all subjects, the Madhya Pradesh government has launched the ‘Rukk Jaana Nahi’ scheme. This initiative allows Class 10 (High School) and Class 12 (Higher Secondary) students to reappear for failed subjects, offering them another opportunity to clear their exams without waiting an entire year. All students who fail in one or more papers are eligible to apply under this scheme.
For clearing the MP Board Class 10 and 12 exams in 2025, students need to obtain a minimum of 33% marks in every subject as well as 33% aggregate overall.
This year's results show a remarkable improvement in the performance of students. In the MP Board Class 12, the overall pass percentage was 74.48%, an impressive increase of 10% from 64.48% in 2024. Likewise, the pass percentage in Class 10 increased to 76.22%, a remarkable increase from last year's 58.10%.
The MP Board exam result marksheet contains several important details that students must carefully verify. These include the Centre Code, School Code, Enrollment Number, Application Number, and whether the student is marked as Regular or Private. It also lists the Roll Number, Student’s Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, and details of all Subjects with Subject Codes. Additionally, it shows the Marks Obtained in Theory Exams, Internal Assessment or Practical Marks, the Total Marks Secured, and the Division awarded.
