Painting for Positivity: Everyone dreams of a home filled with happiness, peace, and prosperity. To achieve this, people adopt various measures—some plant trees, some install fountains, and others decorate the walls with special pictures. According to Vastu Shastra, pictures are not just a decorative element; they directly impact the energy and atmosphere of a home. If placed in the right direction and with the right intention, they create an atmosphere of happiness, peace, and positivity.

At the same time, some inappropriate pictures can also hinder a home's happiness. Therefore, it's important to know which pictures should be placed in the home and which should be avoided. Today, Bhopal-based astrologer and Vastu consultant Pandit Hitendra Kumar Sharma tells us which paintings and pictures can spread happiness throughout the home and which pictures should be avoided to prevent negative energy from entering.
1. Pictures of horses bring progress
In Vastu Shastra, a picture of seven galloping horses is considered highly auspicious. It symbolizes energy, progress, and a sense of progress.
The south side of the house is considered the best place to place it. It is said to bring speed, success, and financial prosperity to the home. Ensure that all the horses in the picture are white and appear to be running forward together. This increases positive energy in the home and reduces obstacles in work.
2. Pictures of nature increase positive energy
According to Vastu, pictures of natural scenes such as mountains, waterfalls, sunrises, or lush green fields are auspicious to place in the home. Such pictures provide mental peace and create a relaxing atmosphere. These pictures are best placed in the living room or drawing room. Try to depict the sunrise in the picture, as it signifies new opportunities and a fresh start. Avoid pictures of the setting sun, as it is considered a symbol of fatigue and despair.
3. Importance of Pictures of Birds and Swans
In Vastu Shastra, the swan is considered a symbol of peace and prosperity. Therefore, placing a picture of a swan in the home is considered auspicious. Pictures of flying birds are also considered very positive; they indicate progress towards new heights in life and boost self-confidence. Placing them near the drawing room or entrance hall is beneficial.
4. Pictures of Gods and Goddesses Bring Happiness and Peace
According to Vastu principles, placing pictures of Gods and Goddesses in the home is extremely auspicious.
A picture of Lord Ganesha is used to remove obstacles, a picture of Goddess Lakshmi is used for wealth and prosperity, and a picture of Goddess Saraswati is used for knowledge and wisdom.
It is considered best to place these pictures in the north-east direction. Be careful not to place them on the walls of the toilet or bedroom.

5. Avoid These Pictures
While some pictures bring positive energy into the home, others have a negative effect.
Pictures of violent animals, scenes of war or conflict, the setting sun, or wrecked ships should not be placed in the home.
These images inadvertently cause tension, conflict, and loss.
Similarly, pictures of a sad or lonely person weaken the energy of the home.
